Taegeun Jo
Taegeun earned his BSc and MSc in Chemistry from the Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SNUT). He researched the rebound mechanism in hydrogen atom transfer reactions by using synthetic nonheme oxoiron (IV) complexes as a visiting researcher at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities, USA. Subsequently, he pursued his research at the University of Groningen (RUG), the Netherlands, under the supervision of prof. dr. Johannes E.M.N. Klein. His studies focused on C-H and O-H bond activation catalyzed by gold/iron, obtaining his PhD in 2022.
After that, Taegeun moved to industry, taking on the role of Senior Scientist at Symeres in the Netherlands. However, he returned to academia and joined the Crespi group (prof. dr. Stefano Crespi) at Uppsala University (UU), Sweden, as a postdoctoral researcher.
