Francesco Marcaccio
Francesco is a Master’s student of the Photochemistry and Molecular Materials course at the University of Bologna. During his bachelor’s degree, also in Bologna, he was to synthesize disubstituted homoprolines for peptidomimetics purposes. He is principally interested in the organic synthesis and theoretical chemistry. Now he’s doing an Erasmus traineeship program at the University of Uppsala within the Stefano Crespi’s research group, dealing with the synthesis of Indigo photoswitches for photoacoustic imaging purposes.
